Reading clouds in the bushveld — old trick that still works

My oupa taught me this: if the cumulus clouds are flat on top by 2pm, you're getting rain by 4pm. If they stay puffy and round, the moisture isn't there. I still check the weather app, but this old-school method has saved me from leaving hay in the field more than once. Works best October to March.
