Frost in the Karoo — when to bring ewes into the kraal

We get hard frost from May to August. If the forecast shows below -3°C, I bring the pregnant ewes and newborn lambs into the kraal with a windbreak. Lost 5 lambs one night in 2023 because I didn't check. Now I check the weather alerts on the app every evening during winter. The 10-minute walk to move them is worth more than any lamb.
