Drip irrigation vs sprinklers for small farms

When I started I used sprinklers because they were cheaper upfront. Water bill was R4,000/month. Switched to Netafim drip tape — installation cost R125k for 3 hectares but my water usage dropped 40%. The drip paid for itself in 18 months. Plus, less water on leaves means less fungal disease. If you grow vegetables on less than 5 hectares, drip is the way.
